Bjork’s realtime VR experience, Notget, has scooped the Grand Prix in the Digital Craft category at Cannes Lions. Created by independent creative VFX and realitime studio Analog, and London’s W&N Studio.
The six-minute experience runs at 90fps+ with environments and character designs made in Houdini and 3Ds Max, while photorealistic details were pre-rendered in V-Ray, then baked and blended in proprietary shaders.
Notget beat off competition from the likes of the BBC’s Home: A VR Spacewalk, Google’s Tilt Brush and NikeID VR Studio who all took Silver Lions.
Bronze awards were given for Audi’s Enter Sandbox VR Experience and
Google Creative Lab London’s Rhomaleosaurus - Back to Life in Virtual Reality. The shortlist also included VR in the form of The Void’s Ghostbusters Dimension and Ikea’s Virtual Home Experience.
